Brossard, October 21, 2025 – Sanexen, a North American leader in innovative environmental solutions, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with DI Environnement, a French company specializing in decontamination and hazardous materials management. This collaboration marks a key milestone in the deployment of the ALTRA PFAS treatment technology on the European market.
The partnership was officially unveiled at the Pollutec trade show held in Lyon from October 7 to 10, 2025. As an exhibitor, DI Environnement showcased the ALTRA technology with a scaled model of the commercial unit, highlighting its capabilities for PFAS removal. Sanexen’s team—composed of Étienne Bélisle-Roy, Director of Innovation, and Éric Sauvageau, Executive Vice-President—was also on-site to present the benefits of this innovative solution to visitors and partners.

A Proven Solution, Now Available in France
The partnership is built on a clear model: Sanexen provides the technology, while DI Environnement becomes the exclusive operator of the ALTRA solution in France. The first pilot foam fractionation unit, with a capacity of 95 litres per minute, is scheduled for delivery in early 2026. This cutting-edge technology efficiently separates PFAS from contaminated industrial water.
Through this collaboration, pilot projects will be deployed directly on client sites across France, with the goal of converting trials into commercial contracts—paving the way for expansion into other European Union countries.
A Growing Environmental Priority
Like several European nations, France is facing increasing public and governmental concern over PFAS contamination. A 2023 parliamentary report even described these substances as an “environmental time bomb,” prompting regulatory tightening. In this context, the ALTRA solution arrives at just the right time, offering a concrete, adaptable response to the French market’s urgent needs.
A Partnership Aligned with Sanexen’s Growth Strategy
This partnership supports Sanexen’s international growth strategy, which includes entering the European market through solid local alliances. By combining DI Environnement’s on-the-ground expertise with ALTRA’s performance in PFAS removal, both companies position France as a strategic entry point for expanding PFAS treatment across Europe.
